We're looking for someone to join our team as a Supervisor, Ultrasound who:

Manages the daily operations of the ultrasound department to provide optimal care to all patients. Supervises ultrasound personnel. Oversees budget, quality assurance and compliance with local, state and federal regulatory agencies. Exercises independent judgment when recruiting, training, coaching, supervising and responsibly directing assigned staff.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Monitors and directs all ultrasound scheduling and procedures. Delivers direct patient care and performs staff technologist/sonographer duties as needed. Collaborates with department director about the implementation of additional testing procedures, removal of unnecessary procedures and other topics that impact the department.
  • Oversees the summarization, documentation, verification and presentation of images to physicians for diagnoses. Ensures the integrity of patient medical images and data while adhering to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations.
  • Supervises ultrasound personnel and students, including recruiting, hiring, orientation, training and development, scheduling and regular evaluation. Refines performance improvement programs, program development and marketing.
  • Assists in strategic resource planning and develops, implements and oversees departmental operation and capital budgets.
  • Oversees quality assurance issues and ensures compliance with local, state and federal regulations, standards and protocols.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

 

You'll be successful with the following qualifications:

 

Education: 

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
  • Master's Degree: Preferred

 

Work Experience: 

  • Five years sonography experience: Preferred

 

Required Licenses/Certifications: 

  • American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification: Required
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Sonography: Preferred
