We're looking for someone to join our team as a Infection Prevention Analyst who:

Manages infection prevention database design, implementation, and maintenance. Analyzes and reports data using advanced statistical techniques and software. Provides insight and recommendations for appropriate data gathering, trend significance, and forecasting. Acts as the system administrator for National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN), manage network data, and complete advanced analysis to meet mandatory reporting requirements. Provides expertise to internal and external entities relating to reporting infection control data and project management.


Essential Functions:

  • Develops and maintain databases to provide monitoring tools for leadership, medical staff, operational staff and the infection prevention team. Utilizes front end and back end systems to facilitate data delivery between satellite users and local databases. Troubleshoots and addresses database system issues.
  • Analyzes and reports infection trends related to Healthcare Associated Infections (HAI) to leadership, medical staff and infection prevention team. Develop methods for data querying and manipulation and design data analytic models. Assists with infection related forecasting template design, maintenance, and follow up. Prepares recurring internal reports, external surveys, and ad-hoc infection analyses of departmental data.
  • Serves as system administrator for infection prevention related data in the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) and other publicly reported regulatory databases. Provides training and technical support for use of NHSN. Develops and delivers group and individual training sessions. Validates infection prevention network data for compliance with regulatory and quality collaborative guidelines.
  • Creates database queries and reports for managing infection control and performance improvement. Prepares and presents reports of Hospital Associated Infections (HAI) data for leadership and medical staff. Provides data abstraction and report design for cOversees projects relating to management of infection control program data. Monitors project progression through various stages of development including release and maintenance support. Manages risks in infection control related projects to minimize unforeseen problems.

You'll be successful with the following qualifications:



  • Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
  • Bachelor's Degree: Preferred


Work Experience: 

  • Three years technical experience: Preferred
  • Two years healthcare experience: Preferred


  • NHSN (National Healthcare Safety Network) experience: Preferred
