We're looking for someone to join our team as a Administrative Director, Sourcing & Procurement who:

Leads the planning, development, and efficient operations of sourcing and procurement services across the health system. Provides management oversight and directs sourcing, procurement and supply chain initiatives aimed at driving cost reduction efforts and achieving excellence in quality and customer service across all Adventist Health markets. Exercises management responsibility to ensuring efficient, value-driven services that are designed to meet the needs of patients, physicians and staff directly, or through delegation of responsibility to the management staff.


Essential Functions:

  • Provides executive leadership in the management of staff and develops a high performing, motivated strategic sourcing and procurement teams responsible for procurement and contracting management in categories across supplies, purchase services and capital equipment. Selects qualified personnel and provides for their on-going training and development. Assures that duties, responsibilities, and authority of each job are clearly defined and communicated. Uses independent judgment requiring in-depth analysis of variable factors.
  • Collaborates with senior management to establish short-term and long-term business objectives for the strategic sourcing and procurement. Devises strategies, builds consensus and direction on contracting and procurement opportunities.
  • Develops the annual budgets and analyzes monthly budget goals and submits variance explanation to senior leadership. Utilizes staff within guidelines and budgetary restraints and develops and assists in the development of new and future programs and provides cost analyses. Maintains active involvement in cost containment within the health system.
  • Directs all management efforts in developing and executing strategies and goals associated with sourcing and procurement.
  • Acts as liaison between markets and system services to assure such are delivered efficiently and effectively across the health system.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.


You'll be successful with the following qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree in healthcare, business administration, industrial engineering or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
  • Master's Degree in business administration (MBA) or related field: Preferred


Work Experience: 

  • Ten years related experience: Preferred
  • Five years leadership experience: Preferred


Required Licenses/Certifications: 

  • Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP): Preferred
